Ready for a new challenge? The OVOCOM team, six passionate and enthusiastic employees, are looking for a new Managing Director (m/f).
GMP+ International and EFISC have informed OVOCOM of a possible zinc oxide (origin: Spain) and of products derived from zinc oxide contamination with dioxins and dioxin-like PCBs.
GMP+ International and EFISCH have informed OVOCOM of a possible maize (origin: Ukraine) and maize gluten meal (origin : Spain) contamination with dioxins.
We look at the month of March, where we picked out several authorisations of additives made from microorganisms. This leads us to consider the possible genetically modified nature of these microorganisms as well as the possible use of manufacturing by-products that result from them. We also note a memo from the SDSPA (Sous-direction de la santé et de protection animales) in France on the manufacture of medicated feed.
A reassessment of the risk classification of countries (see FCA-document ‘BT-16: Temporary Monitoring’), based on Aflatoxin results received, has led to the following changes :
The risk classification of Russia changes from ‘High’ to ‘Medium’.
There have been agreed several changes for the IDTF by the International Committee for Road Transport (GMP+ International, OVOCOM, QS, Qualimat, GTP, AIC, Gafta and AMA). The changes are now implemented in the IDTF. Please find here further information about the changes.
Initiatives are emerging both at national and at European level to reduce the use of medication, most notably on antibiotics on livestock farms.

Feed producers may purchase primary products in order to sell them as feed or to process them into feed. This is allowed only under certain conditions. These requirements are fixed in a quality agreement.
