The risk classification of Aflatoxin B1 has been changed in document BT-16. This operation was carried out in consultation with AIC EFISC-GTP, GAFTA, GMP+ Int. and QS. The new classification is based on the weather conditions during cultivation and harvesting and the geographic location of the origin.

The 2018 summary of all notifications issued by the RASFF (rapid alert system for Food and Feed) system has been updated until June 30th 2018 For these first 6 months, 609 ‘hazard/product’ combinations of interest to feed operators have been withheld (a 12% increase compared to 2017)

Feed producers may purchase primary products in order to sell them as feed or to process them into feed. This is allowed only under certain conditions. These requirements are fixed in a quality agreement.
