53. Follow-up on Regulations – July 2017

Every first working day of the week, we at OVOCOM upload an overview of the most relevant legal texts published the week before. That way, FCA companies, certification bodies and registered consultants may quickly and easily consult the latest news in terms of European, Belgian and French Legislation (Animal Feed Sector). By browsing through our selection, you can easily determine if one of the selected texts primarily concerns you.

Additionally, on a monthly basis, we take a step back to dive into one or more recently published legislative texts.

The publications of July are more “traditional” with regard to those of the month of June (new catalogue, many withdrawals of additive authorizations). There are 5 GMO authorizations (maize and cotton), 4 authorizations of biocidal substances usable in our sectors (chlorine and peracetic acid) and new MRL’s (Regulation (EC) n° 396/2005) which have been published.

In this newsletter, our attention is focused on an update of the list of countries in terms of their BSE status as well as an opinion of the Scientific Committee of the Belgian feed agency (FAFSC) proposing action limits for certain alkaloids and mycotoxins. Finally, we will return to the transitional measures of regulation 2016/1095.

Read the entire newsletter (login and password required).

References of all texts published during the past month, along with links for downloading are available via http://www.ovocom.be/Legislation. This page is accessible to all FCA certified and/or ‘Self-checking Guide Animal feed’ companies through means of a login and password. If you do not yet have access, you can request one by sending an email to info@ovocom.be.
