81. Signature of a mutual recognition agreement between the CSA-GTP and OVOCOM certification schemes

The managers of the FCA Standard (OVOCOM) and the CSA-GTP certification (FNA, Coop de France Métiers du grain, SYNACOMEX) have signed a mutual recognition agreement. This document is the result of a work of comparison and harmonization of their respective standards. This recognition covers the collection, storage, trading and transport of cereals, oilseeds and protein crops intended to be used as feed.

The agreement will initially be valid for a period of 1 year. Some additional adjustments still need to be worked out and implemented. The complete implementation will be effective on the 1st of January 2019. After a positive evaluation, a long-term agreement will be signed.

What does this mean for FCA-companies?

This recognition makes it possible to facilitate exchanges between the CSA-GTP certified companies and the FCA certified companies. For the latter, this means the purchased goods can be covered by a level 2 monitoring as from the 1st of January 2018.

What is the CSA-GTP Certification ?

This standard is managed by three French organizations: Coop de France Métiers du grain, Fédération du Négoce Agricole (FNA) and Syndicat National du Commerce Extérieur des Céréales et Oléo-protéagineux (SYNACOMEX). The CSA-GTP standard is a food and feed safety assurance scheme which covers the collection, the storage, the trading and the transport of cereals, oilseeds and protein crops.
