83. Modification of FCA documents BT-16 and BT-17

BT-16: monitoring of Aflatoxin B1 in maize

A reassessment of the risk classification of countries (see FCA-document ‘BT-16: Temporary Monitoring’), based on Aflatoxin results received, has led to the following changes :

  • The risk classification of Serbia changes from ‘High’ to ‘Medium’.
  • The risk classification of Ukraine changes from ‘Low’ to ‘Medium’.
  • The risk classifications of Brazil, Bulgaria, Spain and the Czech Republic change from ‘Medium’ to ‘Low’.

These modifications are applicable as from 29/12/2017.

The periodic assessment is based on the received analysis results, which FCA certified companies are required to submit, and on analysis results from other feed certification schemes, and also on RASFF-notifications relating to Aflatoxin B1 in maize.

If your company, in the context of this protocol, has analysis results for Aflatoxin B1 in maize, be sure to send them to info@ovocom.be! This also applies if you did not have the analysis performed yourself, but you’ve received the analysis results from your supplier.

BT-17: Incident and crisis management

Following the conclusion and renewal of different interchangeability agreements (see our news bulletins 78, 80 and 81), the annex of FCA document BT-17 was modified by adding the CSA / GTP and RCNA standards.

Both documents are available on our website. The new additions are highlighted in gray in the documents. These documents are also available in a version where the changes are not made visible.
