Purchase conditions : extension of RCNA and modifications for GMP+FSA

Today, we modified document BT-02 Purchase: General provisions on several points.

What is the document BT-02?

This document describes all requirements for the FCA companies purchasing products or services from a  supplier. These suppliers must be either Feed Chain Alliance Standard certified, or certified according to another standard, interchangeable with the FCA Standard (like GMP +, QS, Fami-QS, ...). These new changes are due to changes to these other standards.

Important changes

  • Modifications à l'exigence pour un producteur certifié GMP+ FSA de participer à un système d'audits inopinés.
  • Amendments to the requirement for a GMP+ FSA certified producer participate in a system of unannounced audits.
    • Clarification: what exactly does this requirement mean? ;
    • New Exception: the FCA company must no longer verify if its supplier meets this requirement if it is located in the Netherlands, as this requirement is now included in the GMP+ Standard. The same goes for the German producers from 31/12/2019 onwards, and for producers located in other European countries from 31/12/2020 onwards.
  • Extension of the interchangeability with RCNA (Oqualim).
    • Henceforth, an FCA company can purchase from an RCNA company that is certified for the production and placing on the market of feed materials or additives, provided that the company also produces and sells compound feed;
    • An additional requirement was added: the supplier must state the scope "unannounced audit" on his certificate;

Additionnally, we have added some smaller changes to the document, among which:

  • clarification on the annual renewal of the quality agreement;
  • following the expiration of the transition period, the name GMP has now been completely replaced by FCA. So we removed the passage on the former GMP Standard in the document;
  • clarifications on the CSA / GTP Certification
  • a slight modification to the Fami-QS and GTAS certification and the Code of Practice of Fediol (Appendix E).

This document is available on our website. The new additions are marked in grey text. The document is also consultable in a version without indicated changes.

The modifications are applicable as from today
