New FCA document: ‘BT-17: Incident and crisis management: communication to OVOCOM and the certification body’


An efficient incident and crisis management is essential for ensuring feed safety and credibility for the entire feed chain. A good and fast approach shall prevent as well as limit any possible damage and shall create confidence within the entire feed chain. Confidence that can only be created though good communication between the FCA certified companies and OVOCOM.

 

Early 2015, it was already announced that several scheme holders, including OVOCOM, have created, at international level, a platform for the management and registration of international incidents and crises which may affect more than one scheme holder. A harmonized information exchange is therefore essential.

 

In order to clarify the requirements regarding such communication flows, a new FCA document was elaborated, namely document ‘BT-17: Incident en crisis management: communication to OVOCOM and the certification body’.

 

These requirements are applicable to all FCA certified companies.

 

Within this framework, the following documents have also been adapted:

•  ‘BC-01: General Provisions’

•  ‘BT-12: Internal audit’

•  ‘CC-01: Certification Rules’
