Monitoring of aflatoxin B1 in maize: reclassification of India

India goes from ‘Medium’ to ‘High’ risk.

This Periodical Evaluation is based on analysis results which FCA certified companies are required to send, and on the basis of RASFF notification regarding Aflatoxin B1 in maize.

If you do have analysis results for aflatoxin B1 in maize, as part of this protocol, be sure to send them to info@ovocom.be! This also applies if you yourself did not have the analysis performed, but you’ve received the analysis results from your supplier.

Also, a clarification has been provided relating to the classification of batches whose origin would be dubious, not sufficiently known or unknown. In this case, the batch must always be evaluated as originating from a country with a ‘high risk’.

The changes in this document are highlighted in grey. This FCA document is also consultable in a version without visible changes.
